What Is a Coin Mixer?
A coin mixer is a privacy tool that breaks the visible connection between the Bitcoin you deposit and the Bitcoin you receive. It works by pooling your transaction with many others and redistributing the outputs in a way that prevents blockchain analysis tools from linking them together.
Unlike a standard wallet-to-wallet transfer, a modern coin mixer uses multi-pool CoinJoin transactions, randomized paths, variable liquidity sources, and timing obfuscation. These techniques disrupt clustering algorithms, making it extremely difficult to follow your transaction history or identify your wallet owner.
During the mixing process, your BTC is fragmented, combined with other users' coins, and reconstructed into new outputs that have no clean on-chain relationship with your original address. This dramatically increases privacy by destroying heuristics used by forensic analytics companies.
After the mix is complete, you receive clean Bitcoin into your designated address. These coins no longer reveal where they originally came from, what transactions they were previously involved in, or which wallet they belonged to.
